On top of all the mentioned facilities there is a beautiful golf course, which makes this resort extremely suitable for a golfing holiday. Numerous green areas with shrubbery and trees surround this par 36 9-hole golf course.

 

 

 

 

 

The course was initially designed on a 700,000 square metre site by Dave Thomas

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the Mar Menor golf resort, the course is being currently changed and expanded to 18-holes to a Jack Nicholas design at more than twice its original size. The course will be playable during the construction period. It is expected that the second nine holes will be finished early in 2007.

Golf Conditions and rates for 2006

High season: from 1st October until 30th March

Low season: from 1st April until 30th September

Available quarterly tickets, High season: 1st October until 31st December /1st January until 31st March

Available quarterly tickets, Low season: 1st April until 30th June /1st July until 30th September

 

- Guests of ticket holders: 50% discount on the green fee tariff applicable to non-season ticket holders

 

The Mar Menor golf club operates a strict dress code. This must be respected in order to play on the golf course and use the driving range. The maximum handicap for men is -28 and for ladies -36. All players must present a handicap certificate/copy before starting play.

Soft spikes must be worn on the course.
